Pretty good episode, but I am ready for the "meat" of the series. I am tired of the filler episodes at the beginning. When does the action start? 8/10

Promptly. Episode 6 isn't precisely filler, since it moves the plot along quickly. Starting with episode 7, the show gets hardcore. ^__^

And just like I remember a good episode. This episode is used to introduce new characters and move the plot along for the next to episodes, and the second of the following is one of the best of the series. I have to say I'm not a fan of the dub voices of Hughes, Riza, or Mustang, but that's just because I'm very picky.

Oh and the next episode preview didn't give everything away, it didn't show the actual test.

He's not dead. Like Roy explained, he just burnt him enough to cause him a good deal of pain.

Dude.... that was awesome! C&C - Fullmetal Alchemist - "Mechanical Arm" [12/4] (6) Hughes seems liked he'd be some kind of carefree jerk, but he looks like a promising badass. But nothing like Roy. C&C - Fullmetal Alchemist - "Mechanical Arm" [12/4] (7)

And the richoceting was the funniest thing in the episode. That, and the cannonball. C&C - Fullmetal Alchemist - "Mechanical Arm" [12/4] (8)

And am I the only one who finds it funny that Roy's power is Fire... and the main character of Fire Emblem 7 is Roy (who also has fire power in SSBM?) Random connection but funny nonetheless. C&C - Fullmetal Alchemist - "Mechanical Arm" [12/4] (9)

For those of us who have watched FMA we need to keep our mouth shut about what is going to happen.. The greatest thing about this show is that it's unpredictible.

I'm able to keep quiet about things coming in the future by wanting to be able to read other people's reactions. This is one of those shows where it is so worth it.

Awesome episode. I liked the introduction to more of the main cast and Liza's comment was great.

Good stuff. I find myself growing more and more attached to this series.

Her name is Riza Hawkeye *points to screen name* not Liza.

Exactly. I'll make sure to do my part. This is one show that has spoiler boxes as it's enemy.

Fun fun

Though a fairly simple and done plot and a filler episode (though it introduced some new characters), I liked this one. It worked; fun and enjoyable.

It even got a laugh out of me with the ricochet scene.

This is a good episode but it was a bit uninteresting, but I still thought it was better than last weeks and it had some awesome moments.

It said Liza Hawkeye in the little text-blurb onscreen. I'd seen it as Riza on several fansites, but I went with spelling Funi had on-screen. ^^

Eh it can work both ways. Personally I think the only people who should be named Riza are rappers.

Also the cannon rocked.C&C - Fullmetal Alchemist - "Mechanical Arm" [12/4] (18)

What, so they can get shot?

Both are correct from what I understand, but Riza rolls of the tongue better when put with her last name in a sentence to me, and I'm way too used to it being....used.

What? *wonders, how did I miss that?* Even if that's what Funi is calling her, she's always Riza to me. I don't ever refer to characters by the dub names if their original was changed, so I'll always call her Riza.

Roy had one, too, I think.

Anyway, since I'm watching the original, I guess I'll refer to it by how it's pronunced in the dub... even though I know a person in RL called Liza, pronunced like Lee-zah. ::wonders how Funi will pronounce it::

Technically yes, because there is no difference between L's and R's in Japanese.
