Clean and quiet

Very welcoming. Cleanest campground bathrooms we’ve ever seen! We only stayed one night, just passing through.

Nice place

Nothing fancy but for the price, it was a nice campground. The person that showed us to our site was friendly and helpful. Nice lake in front of our campsite. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

First Visit

Hey everyone. We are sort of new to camping but our short stay at D&W was really nice. We took a walk around the pond and sat on the dock for a bit. The host (Matt) was very helpful and made our stay very welcoming. We especially loved our early morning visit from Blaze, Ginger and Pumpkin. We will be back.

Beautiful Experience

This was our first visit to D&W Lakes. Matt helped us get acquainted with the park and general area. We were parked directly in front of the beautiful lake. This park is very clean, plenty of room between the sites, and serene. We will be back to stay.

Cole

My husband and I have been camping for over 40 years and we typically stay at state parks or army engineer campgrounds. Because this trip we aimed at visiting the U of I and Allerton park, we chose to stay here and we were thrilled we did! All the reviews are spot on about the cleanliness, friendly atmosphere that greets every camper. It’s so well maintained, there aren’t even any weeds in the grass! The location is perfect for anyone that is stopping for the night but we came to stay several days and we felt lucky to have as much time as we did, to call it our home for a few days.Thank you to the managers and caretakers of this fine campground!

D and W Lake

Very clean, well maintained and easy to get to. Has a very nice lake which was very nice and relaxing to walk around after a long day of driving.

Great RV site

Owners very accommodating and friendly, site are easy to access.we did pay for wood to be delivered, but this did not happen. Definitely will return

Lovely retreat

We have overnighted here several times on our way west. Idyllic site, just off the Interstate, peaceful grounds, sparkling clean restrooms/shower, and obviously well cared for by the owners.
