Donald Trump took an embarrassing wobble during a rally in Minnesota, which Joe Biden's campaign was quick to brand "feeble."

During his speech on Friday, Trump stumbled as the podium began tilting over, steadying himself by gripping the lecturn.

The presidential hopeful quickly launched into a rant about the state of the stage and the "crappy contractor" who put it together as laughter can be heard ringing out from the crowd.

He said: "You know, this is the worst platform. Who put this stage up? The freaking place is falling down. I noticed it keeps tilting further left, like too many other things. What a crappy contractor this was."

Biden's social media team was quick to pounce on this moment, calling Trump "feeble" and mocking his "angry rant."

They posted footage of the wobble to social media platform X, writing: "A feeble Trump nearly falls down on stage after he leans on his podium too hard and then goes on an angry rant calling his event workers "crappy"."

Thousands who showed up to hear Trump speak at the Minnesota Republican Party's annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner in St. Paul, where he repeatedly made the false claim that Biden won the 2020 election because of widespread fraud.

He insisted: "I know we won [Minnesota] in 2020. We've got to be careful. We've got to watch those votes."

The former president also called for a "mass deportation" of illegal immigrants, and reaffirmed his commitment to building a new Iron Dome-style missile defense system.

Trump's slip was just one in a series of blunders during the rally, as before he came out on stage the teleprompter fell down.

He used this as an opportunity to poke fun at Biden, after the president made "brief, incoherent remarks" during a speech earlier in the week and was walked off stage.

He said: "Suppose that happened to Biden. He'd go like this - 'bye'. He'd leave. l'll stay with you for an hour, we'll have some fun."
